Between May 23rd and 25th, the Higher School of Economics in Moscow together with the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin, organized a workshop on "The Role of innovations in enhancing NGOs Sustainability". The workshop was designed to bring together 30 scholars and students from both schools in order to exchange experiences and insights on the topic of innovation and its role in civil society in both countries and beyond. Alexandra Ioan (Hertie School of Governance, Berlin) attended the workshop and presented first insights from the in-depth case studies conducted as part of the SEFORÏS project in Germany. The other participants were very interested in the research approach adopted by SEFORÏS and in the contribution it can make to raise awareness on social entrepreneurship as a phenomenon in various countries and contexts.
